Note:Generalmente, l'avverbio non ha il suo equivalente diretto nell'inglese not. Si ricordi tuttavia che la frase inglese non ammette una doppia negazione, e che quindi non può essere assorbito da un pronome o da un avverbio negativo: non mi conosce nessuno = nobody knows me; non ci vediamo mai = we never meet.
